[COMING SOON] Porsche 996 Carrera "Touring" Rear Spoiler
Instantly bring the 996 into the 21st century.
The 996's factory decklid louvres were a nod to the 993, but 20 years later they do date the design, and if we're being honest, never looked amazing in the raised position. While Turbo/GT3/GT2 replica decklids exist, nobody has dared to completely reimagine what the louvre panel should look like. So we did.
Taking cues from both the 1967 911R and 2018 GT3 Touring, we replaced the louvres with hexagonal mesh, layering on the slats underneath to create texture and depth. The slim bezel around the mesh frames the now-visible air intake and engine bay vent, highlighting rather than hiding the car's mechanical honesty. Finally, we capped it off with a ducktail like the original GT3's, tying generations of inspiration together into a modern look that just works, whether you have the spoiler raised OR lowered.
Like our front lip, this rear spoiler is designed to add downforce - we additionally tested that neither engine bay cooling or rain/water handling are compromised. We are currently in the final stages of engineering to ensure consistent quality from 3D printing such a large, thin part. Each rear spoiler will be made from ABS plastic for durability, and come smoothed, primed and ready for paint. Installation is a bolt-in replacement for the factory louvre panel; the only "trick" is that the brake light wire needs to be relocated lower, and we do recommend painting the factory spoiler mechanism before install (purely for aesthetics).
